Support Worker

We are looking for caring and passionate individuals to join our dedicated team of Support Workers, working in our Support Living service in Cimla, Neath.

We have various part time permanent positions, which include morning and afternoon shifts times, including wakeful nights. We also make sure you have every other weekend off.

** Due to the needs of the individuals we support in this service the post holder for this role is required to be female**

**Due to the needs of the individuals we support in this service, a full manual UK drivers licence is required**

**What is the role?**

This service is the home of 3 fun-loving and creative ladies with learning and physical disabilities. This is a high support need service and will be working with these incredible individuals to enhance their various skills and support them with daily activities.

**Duties for this role are**:

- Supporting Individuals with their Individual needs.
- Providing emotional support
- Completing various Cleaning and Administrative Duties.
- Being able to bring fresh ideas to the team and implement different ways of working.
- Supporting individuals to manage their finances and medication.
- All aspects of personal care
- Acting as a staff advocate for non-verbal individuals.
- Liaising with family members
- Outings, such as trips to the beach and cinema

**What skills and experience do you need?**

A background of working with people with physical or mental health needs is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided. More important are;
- A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible
- An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people’s lives
- A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player.
