- We are committed to providing quality person centred care for people living with both physical and mental health issues; we provide accommodation, care and support over three sites.
- Parklands Residential Home, Malpas for up to 26 people.
- Are you looking for a Kitchen Domestic Assistant role that makes a real difference?
- Do you pride yourself in preparing nutritious meals/snacks for others?
- We are looking for highly motivated, flexible and enthusiastic individual to join our team.
- This role is covering evenings 4-9pm on a set 2 week rota pattern including every other weekend.
- Within Newport City Council Residential Homes our residents are at the heart of everything we do, your duties will include preparing and serving tea/supper to our residents and ensuring the kitchen is kept clean at all times.
- The applicant will be required to have relevant experience of working in a kitchen environment and hold a Food Hygiene Certificate. You will have a sound knowledge of health and safety issues and be able to demonstrate a good level of basic skills.
- You may or may not have worked in a care home before but it is important to us that you are a caring, positive person with a strong attention to detail.
- You will receive excellent managerial support with training and development opportunities.

- This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and a comprehensive screening process will be undertaken on all applicants. This will include an enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service.
