Assistant Management Accountant- Hybrid Working

Global Accounting Network are partnered exclusively with an industry leading retailer to recruit for an Assistant Management Accountant on a permanent basis. This role is hybrid with travel to the office, based in Central London once or twice a week. Thisis a great opportunity to join a rapidly expanding business in the thriving at a crucial period of growth as the finance function comes through a restructure. This could suit a part-qualified accountant looking for flexibility with their next step. This roleis going to be to be crucial for the business to implement processes and supporting business growth.
Duties include:
- Manage monthly closing process, including posting journals, reconciliations and analysis of P&L and balance sheet
- Manage the preparation and distribution of internal financial reports, maintaining the highest quality, reliability, and accuracy - reports to include P&L by channel, region and department, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
- Compare results to budget with all budget holders, challenging variances
- Present high-quality financial results, non-financial KPIs and performance vs budget / forecast to the leadership team
- Hold bi-monthly cost centre meetings to ensure expenditure is correctly reported and attributed, and to deliver further insight to budget holders, enabling them to manage their areas profitably
- Work closely with Assistant Management Accountant and Finance Associates
- Intermediate to advanced excel (lookups, index match)
