**This is a pivotal leadership role and an exciting opportunity to guide a large operational team, essential to ensuring a secure electricity supply and advancing the energy transition to net zero.**

We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking leader to take on senior operational responsibility for the 24/7 management of the electricity transmission network across the South West of England including parts of Gloucestershire and across to Oxfordshire, and South Wales. Covering a large geographical area with 40 to 50 high voltage substation sites, this role requires strategic oversight to guarantee seamless operations and reliability.

In this role, you will lead and empower teams to deliver critical engineering and construction projects, ensuring the highest safety standards for both team members and the public. With a vital responsibility for maintaining reliable service to local communities, you will be a visible leader, closely engaged with your teams and serving as the voice of operations for the South West. You will be entrusted with significant accountability and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

**Key requirements**:
Proven leadership experience in real-time operational delivery. Strong commitment to safety and creating a safe working environment. Financial acumen to manage large budgets. Solid understanding of the energy sector. Experience driving complex change and development programs.

**Your Reward**
- Up to £95,000 plus 20% Annual performance bonus & annual salary benchmarking
