**Purpose**
As a Quality Advisor you will be working as part of the project teams on multi million-pound energy construction projects. You will advise, coach, mentor, influence of processes in an ever changing environment. You will develop project documents as required.Assisting with the effective coordination of Contractor working methodologies and client interface activities will be a primary focus along with auditing, monitoring, reviewing, and reporting.
You will support the project team - this includes interaction with engineering, project management, construction, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure effective works planning and coordination; with regard to quality performance to ensureprojects comply with processes and procedures.
Problem solving and influencing others is a key aspect of the role
**Responsibilities**
You will have a methodical approach to work and be able to input to various projects at a variety of stages in parallel.
You will have to be fully aware of project programmes and ensure quality documents and requirements are produced in a timely manner in line with project milestones
You will need to be able to highlight and address failing in compliance internally and with the contractors.
You will need to provide suitable solutions for issue that arise on site
You will need to produce adhoc performance reports for management
You will need to develop processes in line with the requirements of the Quality Plan
The will need to be flexible and able to carry out site visits across the SPT area.
You will be required to carry out training sessions to a varied audience on quality topics
You will be responsible for implementing improvement opportunities effectively and support the project teams with appropriate advise that fits with programme and cost.
**Skills & Requirements**
Essential
- Experience in an engineering and construction environment
- Understanding of the lifecycle of projects and where quality interfaces
- Understanding audit and inspection process for Projects
- Experience in developing quality plans for construction
- Experience in Tender reviews
- Experience in developing processes in an engineering or construction area
- Experience in delivering training related to Projects
- Experience in producing performance reports for contractors
- Experience in Non Conformance and Corrective Actions
- Understanding of ISO 9001
Nice to have
- Engineering or construction related degree
- Formal certified qualifications in Training (tutoring/delivery),
- ISO 9001 Internal or Lead auditor qualified
- understanding of root cause analysis
- Understanding of objectives, KPIS and Reporting
