An exceptional primary school with a wealth of awards and accreditations for providing an outstanding learning environment in Tower Hamlets, requires a passionate and engaging Autism Support Worker / SEN Teaching Assistant, to support pupils with Autism (ASD).
As their Autism Support Worker, you will be tasked with supporting a wide variation of needs including Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Language (SP&L) and more If you have any experience with children aged 4-18 with SEN, we would love to hear from youThis does not have to be direct school experience; any transferable skills will be considered.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
** Autism Support Worker / SEN Teaching Assistant. Long term Autism Support Worker role starting ASAP for the entire academic year
** Support students with SEN on a day-to-day basis (ASD, ADHD, Speech & Language and more)
** Top primary school in Tower Hamlets with great transport links
** Work under the direction of the class teachers and the SENDCO to provide first class support to these children
** Provide a stimulating and safe learning environment for children
** Get to deliver specialist interventions (training will be provided). £15,600 - £20,000 per annum dependent on experience
** Located in the East London borough of Tower Hamlets - can be reached by most of South East London
PERSON SPECIFICATION:

- Autism Support Worker / SEN Teaching Assistant
- Ideally have some form of experience supporting children (4-18) with SEN
- Childcare related experience, ideally with an SEN focus
- You MUST be resilient, patient, calm-natured, empathetic & adaptable
