C & C Convenience stores Ltd is a retail organisation operating stores throughout the North of England and we are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our sales team as Store Supervisor in our Spar Store based in Farnworth.

Overall Purpose of the Job

As a store supervisor you will be expected to assist the management team in ensuring the store is operating effectively and to the highest standards by increasing sales, productivity and ensuring legal compliance with all policies and procedures. Your role will be to provide excellent customer service and also monitor staff to ensure they are following your lead; in the absence of management you will carry out a full managerial role which includes back office responsibilities, such as banking, ordering, keying wages, organising rota’s and people management.

**Responsibilities**:
Maximize sales by delivering excellent customer service. Controlling costs and waste. Controlling and replenishing stock levels. Maintaining security within the store according to Company procedures. Key holder duties if required. Ensuring that all store standards including customer service, health and safety, and food and hygiene are maintained. To ensure legal compliance according to Company personnel policies and procedures. To maintain and up date administration in accordance with existing procedures. Applicants will need

Previous experience in retail; supervisory experience is preferred but not essential. GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent).To be enthusiastic, committed and self motivated. To be able to work as part of a team but also on their own initiative.
