**Job Title**: 6-a-Side Football Referee
**Location**: Leisure Leagues, Shrewsbury

**Job Type**: Part-Time (Monday and Thursday Evenings)

**The Role**:
We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced **6-a-Side Football Referees** to officiate matches at our Shrewsbury league. This role is perfect for someone with a strong football background who is confident, impartial, and passionate about the game. You will ensure matches are played fairly, safely, and in line with the rules, while maintaining a positive atmosphere for players.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Match Officiating**:

- Referee 6-a-side matches, ensuring the rules are applied consistently and fairly.
- Make clear and confident decisions, resolving disputes efficiently.
- Manage the flow of the game to maintain player safety and enjoyment.
- **Communication and Conduct**:

- Engage respectfully with players, teams, and match night staff.
- Promote sportsmanship and manage player behaviour on the pitch.
- Clearly explain decisions to players when required, ensuring transparency and understanding.
- **Match Night Preparation**:

- Arrive punctually and ensure all necessary equipment (e.g., whistle, cards) is ready.
- Assist with pitch setup and liaise with the Match Night Supervisor as needed.
- **Post-Match Duties**:

- Report any incidents, injuries, or rule breaches to the Match Night Supervisor.
- Provide feedback on matches or player conduct where necessary.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- **Essential Skills & Experience**:

- FA referee qualification or equivalent
- Previous experience refereeing football matches, ideally in small-sided formats.
- Strong knowledge of football rules and gameplay.
- The ability to make quick, confident decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- **Desirable Skills & Experience**:

- Experience playing or coaching football at any level.
- Previous experience in customer-facing roles.
- **Personal Attributes**:

- Calm, impartial, and confident in handling high-pressure situations.
- Passionate about football with a commitment to fair play.
- Approachable and professional, with the ability to manage a range of personalities on the pitch.
