**REVENUE ACCOUNTANT**required for my client based in Birmingham who are a firm of Solicitors specialising in the defence of serious crime. Frequently instructed to represent and defend in extremely serious cases, including some of the mostnotorious crimes prosecuted in recent times and often cases attracting the attention of the national press.As a modern and dynamic firm,they embrace the latest technology and cutting-edge practices in our strive for excellence. Priding themselves on thoroughand robust defence case preparation, working hard to formulate novel points to enable to articulate powerful and compelling submissions on behalf of those who they represent.
**The Position**
As a Revenue Accountant, you will join an existing team of solid talent comprising some of the best Solicitors and Barristers who are eminent within their profession. We are continually expanding and are now seeking to develop that team further by the additionof a Revenue Accountant to support the Commercial Manager in the provision of Financial Services to the practice by providing competent and efficient assistance in Revenue Management
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

- To support the operation of the firm’s accounting system.
- To review various reconciliations prepared by the Legal Cashier/Senior Legal Cashier.
- To assist the Legal Cashier/Senior Legal Cashier in raising Legal Aided invoices and monthly billing submissions.
- To assist the Commercial Manager to increase the monthly billing submissions.
- To manage the purchase/sales ledger.
- To assist in managing the file archiving.
- To manage the operation of the departments credit control system.
- To manage own work allocation, productivity and quality of work with minimum supervision.
- To manage various excel spreadsheets regarding billing and reporting.
- To prepare monthly Management Accounts for review by the Commercial Manager.
- To create monthly/annual budget reports.
- To perform internal accounts audits.
- To prepare & process monthly payroll, including all submissions to HMRC & Pension provider.
- To assist Commercial Manager in managing the HR system, setting up new starters, managing annual leave etc.

**Requirements**:
Must be AAT qualified.
Attention to detail is essential.
Benefits Salary £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
