We are recruiting for a Fire Safety Inspector to join our Safety and Repairs team, to ensure that all annual fire safety inspections and required remedial works are completed and recorded within agreed deadlines, and to a specified standard.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Assist the Safety and Repairs team with managing fire safety inspections and remedial works through to completion.
- Carrying out an agreed programme of fire safety inspections, predominately fire doors and fire breaks within our supported and sheltered premises, flats, communal areas and office spaces, and providing reports in a timely manner.
- Ensuring all cyclical fire safety inspections and the resultant remedial works are carried out and completed within the required timescales.
- Liaising with contractors, carrying out post inspections and providing compliance performance data.

- Relevant experience of interpreting and implementing the following requirements:

- Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
- Building Regulations Approved Document B
- The British Standards relevant to fire safety
- Experience of developing and delivering guidance, policies and training in fire safety.
- A recognised HNC or Building Surveyor qualification or the equivalent level of skills and experience is required. A BM TRADA or equivalent qualification would be advantageous.
- Relevant experience within a Property Inspection and/or Carpentry background.
- Able to work as part of a team and also able to work independently without the need for close supervision.
- Excellent time management skills, including an ability to prioritise workload and meet agreed deadlines.
- Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to develop and deliver solutions to problems that are sensible, practical and proportionate to the risk.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, possessing the ability to liaise with various audiences both in writing and verbally.
- Good IT skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
- Must be comfortable working up ladders and within confined areas.
- Full, current, valid driving licence.
