**Job Title: Vehicle Assessor**

**Location: BCA Preston**

**Salary: £22,108**

**Working Hours: 40 hours a week Monday to Friday 08:30-17:30 (Saturday working required on a rota basis, discussed at Interview)**

**Main purpose of the job**:
To accurately book in and record vehicle details for arrivals at the centre. Capture and enter details of vehicle information, condition, and documentation in a ‘right first time’ manner. Identify and report on any important vehicle information at point of arrival.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Booking vehicle in recording basic details and mileage using HHT (handheld terminal) and/or Microsoft or Google Forms
- Recording or verifying vehicle documentation (e.g. V5 logbook, service history) using HHT and/or Microsoft or Google Forms
- Undertaking a brief inspection of items present and major or recent damage that could have occurred in transit
- Recovering and recording any loose items using HHT and/or Microsoft or Google Forms
- Identifying and ordering standard services
- Recommending any enhancement services using HHT, for additional repairs, rubbish removal, valeting, fuel etc.
- Ensuring that the Company’s health and safety standards and practices are adhered to in the yard so that accidents to vehicles and people are prevented and reported
- Politely referring any issues, queries or complaints to the relevant manager
- Taking on other responsibilities outside of normal role as required
- Supporting other locations as required
