**Job description** Our client, a leading distribution company based in Antrim are looking for an Experienced Operations Administrator to join their team. **Benefits to You** - Pension Scheme - Permanent opportunity - Job for Life - Holiday Pay - Friendly & Professional working environment - On-Site Parking - Excellent working conditions **Salary**: - £21K - £22K dependant on experience **Hours of Work**: - 0900 hours to 1730 hours Monday to Friday or as operationally required (one-hour lunch). **Primary Responsibilities**: - Support to the department manager/supervisor on all aspects of the daily operation. On occasion this may include out of hours cover. - Book/monitor/process/track and invoice import and export shipments - Liaise with customers ensuring that their requests and queries are dealt with in accordance with a high level of customer service. - Liaise with suppliers and service providers to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded. - Maintain all relevant records on the in-house costing system, ensuring profit margins are maintained and accurately reported and also ensuring that customers are invoiced in a timely and accurate manner. - Ensure the company’s in-house system has up to date accurate information so all relevant personnel have visibility of all shipment information - Prepare and submit all relevant paperwork, including but not limited to, commercial invoices and NES declarations. All new Brexit compliances must be adhered to. **Supporting Responsibilities**: - Liaise with company finance department ensuring all sales and costing queries are dealt with in an efficient and effective manner. - Ensure good filing and housekeeping of all associated paperwork. - Carry out projects related to departmental responsibilities as and when directed by the Manager/Supervisor - Maintain and update customer monitor sheets and web-based tracking systems. - Prepare job files for customs clearance. - Any other duties which can reasonably be required of the post holder to meet operational requirements. **Essential**: - Experience of preparing and working with road freight documentation - Effective communication skills. - At least one year’s experience in European Road import/export operations - At least one year’s experience in a customer service industry - Ability to demonstrate good time management skills - Ability to work unsupervised and be a team player - Ability to work to tight deadlines **Desirable**: - Practical experience of job costing systems - Willingness and ability to learn new tasks and procedures quickly - Some knowledge on new Brexit compliances **_TRP "The Right People" are a recruitment company working on behalf of our client_** **_TRP "The Right People" are an equal opportunities employer_** **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: £21,000.00-£22,000.00 per year Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday Application question(s): - Do you drive?
