**Role Purpose**

Chetwood continues to build out Technology and Data and recognises the importance of developing a security strategy that supports that. Chetwood are looking for a Head of Information Security that can balance risk and growth, and someone that not only understands technology but can also help develop the understanding of others.

**Responsibilities**
- Security by design, ensuring change projects consider security by design and manage information security risks throughout. Work with Architecture to ensure Information Security is considered in strategy and capability planning.
- Secure development practices, work with DevOps and others to ensure secure code development practices are followed.
- Security Operations, develop existing capabilities and consider insourcing / outsourcing options. Oversee monitoring activities and ensure response capabilities are sufficient.
- Operational resilience, disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Including working with Service Management and Security teams to ensure there is response capabilities for Security in place 24/7.
- Assurance, conduct maturity assessments in line with relevant frameworks, build improvement plans and deliver enhancements. Manage accreditations and audits.
- Compliance, review policies and ensure coverage, developing new policies and procedures as required, Report MI through all levels of governance.
- Oversight of Information Security practices within third parties, conducting due diligence and audits.

**Skills and experience**
- CISM or CISSP qualified with a bachelor degree, ideally in a related field (IT, Computing, Security etc.).
- In depth experience working in AWS or other public cloud environments, ideally AWS certified.
- Knowledge of IT risk and security standards and regulations, such as, ISO27001, DPA/GDPR, COBIT.
- Proven track record in owning Information Security and Technology risks, and driving a roadmap to improve maturity.
- Strong presentation and communication skills to an executive / board level.
- Experience of hiring and growing teams, as well as managing existing teams.
