A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As our new Facilities Supervisor at MKS instruments, you will work in our company based in Crewe (UK). You will be responsible for managing the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities. You will partner and be the key member of the HSE team and of the global Workplace Operations. In this role, you will report to Raul our global facilities Director.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Oversee the Facility, equipment maintenance and PM programs with an emphasis on collaboration with stakeholders to understand and manage local and corporate business initiatives and strategies; provide support of corporate initiatives as necessary (The role can be hands on as may be needed).
- Partnership with site Operations a must for site coordination of new equipment and infra-structure. Implement standardized building systems software and protocols; in particular for new projects.
- Manage local Facility budgets including EHS/HSE, Security programs and initiatives; be accountable within a global budget. Oversee the maintenance for the building systems, plant equipment, and preventative maintenance programs.
- Build partnerships with third-party vendors, services providers, and contactors, while ensuring most cost-effective methods are being used to manage preventive maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities, EHS and security programs.
- Act as LEAN & EHS representative for local site and provide support in accordance with Corporate requirements
- Travel Requirements: Up to 15% of Travel may be required
Skills You Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Construction Management, Architecture, HSE or any equivalent field.
- Significant related experience, in facilities /construction industry preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are required, as well as excellent interpersonal skills as success in this role is highly dependent on the ability to collaborate and develop great working relationships with local stakeholders, BU leads, individual site management, manufacturing and operations teams. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, vendors, employees, managers and the general public.
- Strong problem-solving ability. Individual who likes solving challenges, looks for solutions and has a willingness to step out of their comfort zone. Passion for sustainability and making a difference.
Preferred Skills:
- Add IOSH managing Safety preferred.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with project-related Construction Management systems are preferred. Experience with AutoCAD a plus.
- Experience with Instrumentation, design, installation and equipment startup a plus.
- Position is required to report during emergency events.
- Knowledge of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) standards.
