**Purpose of the role**
The Yarn Store Operative plays a key role in supporting the efficient operation of the Warping and Weaving department by ensuring accurate and timely handling, storage, and distribution of yarn.

**The day to day**
- To adhere to the Camira Code of Conduct and comply with all relevant quality, environmental, health & safety, data protection, and corporate legislative requirements
- Manage and maintain an organised and efficient yarn store
- Ensure accurate yarn allocation to the correct loom, lot, and colour
- Safely load and unload deliveries using a forklift truck
- Support production flow through effective stock control and communication
- Maintain a tidy, well-organised, and safe yarn store at all times
- Distribute correct yarns to the Warping and Weaving areas as required
- Load and unload transport vehicles safely and efficiently
- Operate forklift trucks and handheld pallet trucks in line with site procedures
- Use yarn scanners to record and update yarn locations accurately
- Complete stock sheets and maintain accurate stock records
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across the yarn store and weaving shed

**Other Considerations**
- Full, clean driving licence
- Valid forklift truck licence
- Good colour acuity and recognition
- Safe handling and movement of yarn and related materials
- Ability to identify and differentiate yarn lot numbers, qualities, and colours
