The purpose of our Receptionist role is to:

- To staff the Reception Desk and answer the telephone in a friendly manner, transfer calls to the appropriate person as quickly as possible or take a clear message for that person.
- To welcome all visitors, staff and volunteers to the Hospice courteously and ensure that they are provide with appropriate information or seen by the relevant member of staff.

You'll need:

- The ability to speak well and convey information clearly.
- Be great at making people feel at ease when entering the Hospice building.
- A good understanding of technology with a working knowledge of Microsoft office packages i.e. Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Able to build good working relationships.
- Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Good administrative and record keeping skills and able to work with good attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Sensitivity and understanding to the needs of the volunteers and customers, many of whom may have experienced Rennie Grove Peace services or be bereaved themselves.
