Due to successful growth, we have full-time & part-time hours available for Home Care Assistants in The London Borough of Haringey. Experience is not essential because full training will be provided.

You will receive three days of skills assessment training & shadowing so you will have the training, support, and guidance in the office and out in the community in customers’.

**Hour of work**
- We need all Care Assistants to work a mix of hours, including early morning, early evenings, and alternate weekends.
- Part-time position
- you must be able to commit to a minimum of 16-hours per week
- Full-Time hours are 40 hours per week.

**Job description and responsibilities**
- Support to get up and ready for the day ahead or ready for bed in the evening.
- Prepare a bath/shower to the right temperature and assist with bathing when required.
- Assist with dressing, undressing, and all elements of personal care.
- Prepare medication and remind/assist with administration.
- Meal/snack/drinks preparation.
- Enable the client to make their own decisions to be as independent as possible.
- Provide Social and physical activities or mental stimulation such as keeping in touch with friends/relatives, taking the client out shopping or to social activities, hobbies such as reading, photo albums, games, etc.

- Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations.
- Ability to listen, communicate clearly, and build relationships with customers and their families in a friendly and pleasant manner.
- Respect for people with different backgrounds and beliefs to your own and who may have a range of medical conditions.
- Commitment to non-discriminatory care practice.
- Excellent timekeeper who is organized and reliable.
- Ability to adapt to change quickly and make common-sense decisions at short notice.
- Good hygiene practice, including personal hygiene and a smart appearance.
