We're a small bunch of energetic and enthusiastic accountants, bookkeepers, and business services professionals, specialising in the optimisation of systems, processes and procedures in order to increase efficiency.

Due to expansion we're now looking for a new assistant accountant to come and join the team.

**Job description**

Accounts assistant required, ideally with at least 1 year of relevant experience (even better if that experience is in a practice environment i.e. working for multiple clients at the same time).

Full training can be provided - Already studying or plans to study AAT NVQ or equivalent desirable.

Start date - Negotiable (ideally ASAP but can wait for notice period etc.)

Full time - (35 to 37.5 hours per week, fully negotiable, overtime available).

Flexible / Choose your own days / hours - (ideally Mon to Fri, 9 am to 5 pm, can be Mon to Thurs, or Tues to Fri for example).

Hybrid Working - Working from home 2 to 3 days per week, working in the office / client sites in and around Basingstoke, Hampshire for 1 to 2 days per week (after initial probationary period, before passing this, it would be working from home with some meetings at our offices for training).

Compensation - Salary plus Bonus and Overtime (optional), Company Contributory Pension, Private Health Scheme, Study Support, Career Progression (full training and support to become an accountant, if desired).

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and a high level of attention to detail are necessary, particularly where working will be remotely from home the majority of the time.

Microsoft Excel user, preferably familiar with V-Lookups and Pivot tables (training in this area can be provided).

Experience working across various accounting systems also desired (Sage 50, Sage Business Cloud, Quickbooks, and Xero), though again, training can be provided.

Duties:
- Working with multiple accounting systems and for multiple clients (Sage 50, Sage Business Cloud, Quickbooks, and Xero)

Reconciling bank accounts

Reconciling supplier statements

Processing sales / purchase invoices

Employee expenses

Nominal coding

Journals

VAT Returns

Management Accounts assistance

Payroll Processing

Adhoc tasks

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £10.00-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 22 per week
