**OVERVIEW**

A leading media and entertainment company is looking to hire its first data scientist in the team.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of projects and work with big data.

Your responsibilities as a Data Scientist will include but not be limited to;
- Working on projects including customer optimisation and propensity modelling to identify customer purchasing behaviour
- Improve customer experience by building a recommendation engine to generate personalised recommendations.
- Build customer clustering and classification models
- Help to build and design the data science strategies for the company
- Automation and maintenance of machine learning models

**YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**

A successful Data Scientist will have the following;
- Have proven experience of using analytics programming languages or statistical software tools such as Python, R and SAS
- Have a good understanding of statistical models and concepts such as propensity modelling, price optimisation, etc.
- Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Form good, effective working relationships with all levels of staff
- Be able to work across multiple projects with changing priorities
- Be able to use initiative, work with minimum supervision, organise your time effectively, and deliver to agreed timescales
- 2-3 years of commercial experience in data science.
