**Job Title: Coroners Officer**

**Based At: Pontypridd Coroners Services**

**Scale: SO1/2**

**Salary: £30,420.00 - £35,307**

South Wales Police are currently recruiting 2 x temporary (2 years) Coroner Officers for their Pontypridd based Coroner team.

The role will comprise of:

- compiling reports and completing records as required by HM Coroner
- to gather and collate relevant case data for user case file and records for both South Wales Police systems and the coronial Civica system
- at the direction of HM Coroner, to represent their interests in the investigation of sudden, violent, suspicious or unnatural deaths or, where the cause of death is unknown and to assist in the execution of their legal and public protection duties
