**GENERAL SUMMARY**

The Turner will be responsible for the operation of CNC Machinery including Heidenhain milling machine, Mazak Integrex, Horizontal Borer Siemens control and manual machinery as well as the inspection of finished goods from the machine to ensure process control is maintained. Responsible for following all health and safety codes which involve machinery.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS )**
- Operate CNC Machinery and manual lathes including Heidenhain milling machine, Mazak Integrex, Horizontal Borer Siemens control
- Operate and adjust manual Centre Lathe
- De-burr castings after machining
- Quality assurance inspection of parts according to charts
- Maintain efficiency records of equipment
- Manual statistical testing to ensure machine is to specifications
- Perform safety and housekeeping tasks
- Perform all machine set up duties
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks

**SKILLS**:

- Strong numeracy/mathematical skills are essential.
- Mechanical skills
- Must be capable of operating Centre Lathe and manual machinery including jib cranes.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Time served Turner apprenticeship
- Machine operation experience in manufacturing setting.
- Experience on CNC machines would be beneficial.
