We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced **Underwriter** to join our **Sports, Leisure and Entertainment (SLE) team**. Reporting directly into our Head of SLE, you would also have a responsibility to liaise with various areas, working together to produce the best outcome for all customers.

- The role is full time and based out of our office in **Laindon**.

**Role Profile**:
- To assist in team performance by regular communication with colleagues and manager to establish and raise concerns and provide solutions.
- To ensure compliance with local procedures, customer service standards and external compliance regulations, e.g., FCA.
- To undertake training in line with agreed objectives and keep up-to-date with technical, legal and market developments via use of eLearning, internal and external training and reading market related material.
- Confining advice and information to those areas in which you are deemed competent, otherwise seeking advice from key stakeholders as appropriate.
- Always demonstrating the professionalism of our organisation when onsite visits and in all communications.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Educated to Level 3 or above
- Cert CII or Dip CII (desirable)
- Minimum 5 years Underwriting Experience would be an advantage as would exposure to the Sports, Leisure and Entertainment industry.
- Good understanding of general insurance.
- Ability to work with others and work across a matrix organisation.
- Ability to balance and prioritise commercial and technical challenges to contribute to feasible and desirable solutions to business problems.
