**Multiskilled Shift Engineer in Slough**

We are looking for a multiskilled Engineer for a great customer of ours in Slough. Working with the engineering team, you will be responsible for planned and preventative maintenance across the site. Working with a variety of different machinery and equipment,we are looking for an engineer with great electrical and mechanical experience, and someone who has the confidence to work alone at times and make safe and important decisions.

**Salary and Benefits**
- Starting Salary of £47,000 p.a.
- Shift Pattern: 0700-1900 4 on 4 rotating shifts days & nights.

**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities**
- To work effectively with other engineers on site.
- To comply with all Company and legal standards when working (Health and Safety, hygiene, etc).
- To ensure effective fault diagnosis of any plant and equipment on site that is not operating to the required targets.
- To carry out planned preventative maintenance activity as instructed.
- Ability to communicate with the site production team and the Site Engineering Manager.
- Understand operational needs and ensure that engineering activity on site is carried out effectively and efficiently for both breakdown repairs and planned maintenance activity.
- Ensure standards are maintained for all work carried out and appropriate records completed and signed off.
- Carry out repairs effectively and efficiently with mínimal disruption to operational running. Escalation to the General Manager and Site Engineering Manager as required.
- Ensure that all expected standards are maintained (eg, Health and Safety, engineering standards, uniform, PPE, behaviour).
- Take responsibility for maintaining the appropriate standards of housekeeping and hygiene in their work area.

**Essential skills and qualifications needed**
- Industry qualifications and/or apprenticeship in Electrical and Mechanical engineering, along with basic PLC knowledge.
- Good verbal and written skills.
- IT Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Proven ability in fault finding and corrective action.
- Experience working in a fast paced FMCG environment.
