**What we are looking for**:
P ost registration clinical experience in a face to face, primary or acute care setting, emergency department or pre-hospital role.

An ability to adapt to a new and challenging setting.
Basic computer skills.
North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.
Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.
We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.
Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.
We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Further development will be offered once you have completed your initial training followed by a period of skill consolidation.
Once this period of consolidation is complete, t he post holder wil l be required to develop additional skills to meet the needs of the serv ice. These additional skills will include providing clinical advi c e to both clinical and non-clinical colleagues, supporting staff who are returning to practice or are new and require mentorshi p as well as other specialist skills such as managing the clinical queue and referring calls onto partner organisations who provide Clinical Assessment Services on behalf of NWAS. It is a requirement of the role that these additional skills are completed in a timely manner to ensure that patients get access to the right care, at the right time, in the right place; every time.
The post holder will work within our Integrated Contact Centres (ICC) based across the North West. As a UECC you will be responsible for the remote assessment of patients whilst ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care through the continuous achievement of high clinical standards.
