**Head of Talent**

Tabletop is an innovative fast-growing business providing cutting-edge technology to the hospitality sector. Working at Tabletop is more than just a job; we are looking for talented staff who have the drive to achieve their aspirations and make a real difference.

We are looking for a ‘people person’ to be our Head of Talent; someone who is passionate about attracting, hiring and retaining motivated staff. This is an exciting role that is part of the Senior Leadership Team where you will be contributing to the business objectives and helping to develop our business culture.

**Responsibilities**
As Head of Talent you will:

- Take total responsibility for all HR within the business
- Lead the recruitment process; headhunting, advertising, selecting and interviewing applicants
- Administer employee documents such as employment contracts, employee handbook, HMRC forms and formal notices
- Develop people strategy to achieve business objectives
- Create a best-in-class new starter induction process and then lead it
- Manage the probationary period for employees and conduct end of probation reviews
- Manage and develop the employee appraisal system
- Prepare detailed HR reports and present them as required
- Attend Senior Leadership Team meetings and work as part of the leadership team
- Develop clear HR policies and ensure policy awareness
- Develop and implement employee retention programmes and strategies
- Resolve conflicts through positive and professional mediation
- Oversee training and development of employees as required
- Monitor and record staff absence
- Maintain and report on employee and workplace health and safety compliance
- Handle any disciplinary processes, formal grievances and termination
- Ensure that Tabletop’s company procedures comply with employment regulations
- Understand current recruitment trends
- Keep Board and investors updated on Talent strategy
- Handle highly confidential information in an honest and trustworthy way
- Implement and manage employee benefits strategy beyond successful investment raise
- Organise monthly senior leadership team meetings
- Organise and lead bi-annual whole business meetings
- Manage Tabletop website hiring page as well as all posts related to hiring on relevant LinkedIn accounts

Please note that there are no staff to manage

**Salary**
You can expect to earn a very competitive **pro rata** starting salary of **£50k**

**Objectives**

**Skills**
You’ll need to show:

- A real passion for working with people
- Ability to work with a senior leadership team in a high-growth, often stressful, scale-up business
- Extensive understanding of recruiting, managing and employee development
- Ability to be strategic and tactical when making decisions
- Great interpersonal and motivational skills
- Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes and workplace investigations
- Familiarity with performance management
- Experience delivering employee training programmes
- Full understanding of labour legislation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in following and maintaining workplace privacy
- Ability to use the relevant Human Resources tools

**Requirements**:

- At least 5 years’ experience of working in HR roles
- You must have your own laptop
- You must have access to a car and possess a full UK driving license
- You must be an active LinkedIn user and be prepared to post about Tabletop on your own account

**Working hours**
This role is currently 3 days per week
Working hours are typically 9am to 5pm
This is a remote role although there will be in-person meetings (including a monthly senior leadership team meeting)

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 22.5 per week

**Salary**: From £50,000.00 per year
