A secondary pupil referral unit in Stockport, is looking for a teacher to join their team
This school caters for children and young people who have struggled in mainstream environments, in this role you will support children in KS4 in vocational activities and games
You will support children with SEMH needs who have struggled to access education.
In this role as a teacher, you will:
- Create engaging and creative lessons to engage pupils in their learning
- Act as a good role model for students and encourage expected behaviour
- Promote independence of pupils and encourage them to reach their full potential
- Deliver National curriculum content as well as vocational activities
The ideal Learning support mentor will have:
- Teaching experience or QTS
- The ability to form good relationships with students
- Adaptability and flexibility within their role
- Lots of patience and good de-escalation techniques
- Experience of working with special educational needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
