**The hotel has an opportunity available for a Maintenance Assistant.**

**Your duties will include**:

- Daily maintenance checks and repairs of fixtures and fittings to ensure they are in a safe and sellable condition.
- Deliver an excellent guest and team member experience.
- Participating in the hotel’s preventative maintenance programs and safety inspections as directed.
- Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness in workshop and plant areas.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and repair of the grounds and loading bay.
- Previous maintenance experience working in a 4*/5* luxury hotel or similar environment
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different situations
- Approachable and having the desire to challenge themselves
- Ability to work on their own and under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum 2/3-year experience working as a hotel maintenance duty / shift assistant / engineer
- Experience with Health & Safety at work requirements.
- Experience with using building and property management system.
- Experience of signing contractors in and out.
- Confident communicator, enthusiastic and motivated, with a good eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work on own initiative but, at the same time, be an integral part of the team.
- Basic IT skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.

If you can demonstrate the following skills, that would be an advantage:

- Level 3 NVQ Electrical qualified
- Level 2 Plumbing qualified
- Health and Safety compliance
- Property Fire Safety.
- First Aid at work.
- Environmental impact awareness.

**Your hours of work**:
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the role is full-time, 40-hours per week, working to a flexible rota, as advised by the Chief Engineer, with a 30-minute break included; no normal hours of work, and your hours of work will vary according to the workload and needs of the business.
