**Senior Care Assistant (Nights) Part Time
- The Laurels Care Home -Draycott, part of the Country Court Family**

**Hours - Nights 20 Hours per week, working weekends on rota (Shift Times 2000 -0800)**

The Laurels Care Home is situated in the peaceful village of Draycott, 2 miles from Cheddar at the foot of the Mendips Hills. With just 21 beds, our caring and compassionate team led by Becky the Manager, get to know each resident personally, meaning they feel truly at home at The Laurels.

**ABOUT THE SENIOR CARE ASSISTANT ROLE**

Within your role as a Senior Care Assistant, you can really make a difference to our residents’ lives. Your responsibilities will include:

- Helping our residents with personal support and care,
- Aiding their emotional well-being and social needs
- Administration and monitoring of medications to residents.
- Serving meals/drinks and assisted feeding
- Interacting with our residents on a personal level
- Maintaining care plans

- Experience as a Senior Care Assistant & leading a team.
- Be no stranger to working night shifts
- Have a friendly & caring attitude.
- Able to engage well with the residents and their families
- Have an understanding of people with Dementia
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social care or willing to work towards this.
- Great communication skills, both written & verbal.

Due to the nature of the Senior Care Assistant role, you will need to pay £22.00 towards the cost of an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, prior to starting with us.

**Covid Safety**
We operate COVID secure homes and have strict procedures in place to ensure the safety of all residents and staff. This includes regular Covid & temperature testing and wearing appropriate PPE, including a face mask to be worn at all times whilst on shift, unless medically exempt.
