Personal Assistants support people to live well. They provide the right support at the right time to help others to live their best lives. Is this you? Do you want a job that is rewarding and fulfilling?
**The job**:
The gentleman has an acquired brain injury, and needs some support to mobilise independently, to get out and about. The role is very much one of a supportive companion to access activities and interests of his choice. These include: riding quad bikes, side by side tandems, archery and shooting. These activities will require travel to activity centres outside the York area.
**The right person**:
Have you got a friendly and caring nature? Are you easy going? We are looking for someone who enjoys helping others get the best from life.
Have you got experience of supporting people or would you like to work within the health and social care sector? You need to be a qualified driver with access to a car for work purposes that would accommodate a wheelchair.
**The Hours**:
PA support is provided flexibly over 10 - 12 hours per week, additional hours may be available. Hours of work are negotiable on interview, and may include occasional evenings and weekends.
**The Pay**:
£15 per hour
5.6 weeks pro-rata paid holiday
Permanent contract of Employment
Workplace Pension
Mileage at 45p per mile, plus any agreed expenses.
