**Position Summary**:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Store Associate to join our busy independent convenience store, which is part of the Nisa network. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the store and providing excellent service to our customers. You will be responsible for assisting customers, restocking merchandise, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and maximizing sales within all departments. This is a fast-paced environment that requires multitasking and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

**Essential Job Functions**:
Customer Service: Greet customers, assist with inquiries, and provide prompt and friendly service. Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or complaints professionally and efficiently.

Sales and Merchandising: Promote and sell products from the chilled and dairy, tobacco, alcohol, soft drinks, household, frozen food, and confectionery departments. Maintain well-stocked shelves, arrange displays attractively, and ensure accurate pricing.

Cash Handling: Operate cash registers, process transactions accurately, and maintain proper cash handling procedures. Balance cash registers at the end of shifts and handle any discrepancies.

Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, restock shelves, and rotate products to ensure freshness. Receive and check deliveries, verify invoices, and assist with inventory counts.

Store Maintenance: Keep the store clean, organized, and presentable at all times. Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.

Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Ensure compliance with legal requirements related to the sale of tobacco, alcohol, and other restricted items.

Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the features, benefits, and pricing of the products in the store. Provide recommendations and assistance to customers based on their preferences and needs.

Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other store associates and supervisors to achieve store goals. Support and assist colleagues as needed, especially during peak hours or in the absence of team members.

**Requirements**:
Previous retail or customer service experience.

Knowledge of and experience with chilled and dairy, tobacco, alcohol, soft drinks, frozen food, and confectionery products is highly desirable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
