Are you ready to be part of one of the world’s most iconic drinks brands? We’re looking for a **dedicated and safety-focused Shunter Driver** to join our logistics team at the **Diageo site in Runcorn**.
In this crucial role, you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers across the site, supporting both production and distribution operations. You’ll play a key part in keeping the supply chain flowing smoothly in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
This is a full-time role based on a **4 on 4 off shift pattern**, with **12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM**. You’ll work **182 shifts per year**, totalling **2,184 hours annually**.
Our site operates **24/7, 363 days a year**, so flexibility is key.
Occasionally, you may be asked to cover day shifts when needed.

**What you’ll do on a typical day**:
- **Shunting trailers across the site**, including keg loading, small pack end-of-line and between the Diageo packaging plant and the Kammac site
- **Coupling and uncoupling trailers** using Terberg shunt units
- **Supporting production operations** by shunting Diageo tankers and trailers for glass and cans
- **Maintaining trailer supply** for keg and THT operations in line with operational needs
- **Completing trailer checks**, including keg counts, trailer census at shift start and configuration sheets to ensure accuracy before dispatch
**What you need to succeed at GXO**:
- HGV C+E driving license
- Valid driver CPC and digital tachograph cards
- No more than six penalty points on your licence (no TT, IN, DD, DR or DG endorsements)
- Previous shunting experience is desirable
