As a Shopping Centre Operative with Evolve Contract Solutions LTD, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of shopping centre facilities in the North West region**.
**Position**: Shopping Centre Operative
**Employment Type**: Full time
Shift Pattern: 4 days on / 4 days off
Hours: 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM
Salary 12.00 per hour
**Responsibilities**:
**1. General Day-to-Day Centre Management**
- Ensure the smooth running of daily operations, keeping the centre well-presented and safe for visitors and tenants.
**2. Safety & Compliance**
- Conduct weekly fire alarm tests.
- Organise, monitor, and document 6-monthly fire drills.
- Perform weekly documented inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in managing daily incidents and report maintenance needs, arranging contractors where required.
**3. Cleaning & Maintenance**
- Carry out minor cleaning duties across both internal and external areas.
- Frequently conduct litter picking around the premises.
- Grit external areas as needed during adverse weather conditions.
- Ensure public washrooms are cleaned, stocked, and maintained daily.
- Refill consumables in washrooms.
- Conduct minor repair tasks (e.g., fixing door handles, reaffixing signs).
**4. Inspections & Site Monitoring**
- Conduct regular daily inspections of key areas, including public welfare facilities, service corridors, and bin stores.
- Monitor and manage the welfare facility, ensuring coded locks are changed daily.
**5. Contractor & Tenant Liaison**
- Act as the main point of contact for contractors and tenants, ensuring clear communication and smooth operations.
- Coordinate with the bin contractor to ensure bins are placed out for collection on scheduled emptying days.
**6. Site Access & Security**
- Responsible for opening and locking up the centre when required.
- Ensure public welfare coded locks are changed daily for security purposes.
**7. Customer Assistance**
- Provide assistance to customers with car park-related issues or inquiries.
**8. Additional Responsibilities**
- Undertake any other reasonable tasks as directed by management to meet the needs of the business.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive and can-do attitude with the ability to handle a range of duties.
- Basic handyman skills for minor repairs.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
**Qualifications**
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in EnglishBasic maths skills for inventory management
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
