**Practice Bookkeeper / Outsourcing Senior - London**

Our London office has an excellent opportunity for an experienced **Bookkeeper / Outsourcing Senior** to join the team. Having a highly prestigious client base of high-net worth individuals, SMEs, not-for-profits, encompassing regulated industries, retail, property portfolios and consultancy, sports agency and creative arts; this position will provide plenty of variety, encompassing bookkeeping, management accounts preparation and VAT work for a wide range of clients.

**Key responsibilities are**:

- managing day to day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients using Xero as well as reconciliations of the main control accounts
- preparing monthly management accounts to clients and detailed year end reconciled information to the statutory accounts team
- reviewing client entries and advising of corrections or efficiency improvements
- managing jobs being processed by the outsourcing team, as well as some manual processing
- dealing with client queries as and when they arise
- managing own flow of work
- preparing and filing VAT returns for various VAT schemes
- attending client premises, where necessary, to undertake bookkeeping role on-site which includes preparation of management information for clients
- providing training to clients on various packages and bookkeeping skills as required
- supporting colleagues with accounts work when required including preparation of statutory accounts and corporate tax returns, would be an advantage
- training and supporting apprentices with general bookkeeping skills
- minimum 3 years’ experience in an accountancy practice
- significant experience of using Xero
- AAT qualified / Qualified by Experience / Xero certified
- hands on, diligent and demonstrates excellent client interpersonal skills
- ability to work both independently, direct liaison with clients, as well as part of a team in both a supporting and supervising capacity
- forward thinking and proactive to improve client records and systems
- good communication skills, particularly in advising/training clients in use of Xero
- excellent organisation skills and ability to multi-task
- ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines
**The Package**:
A generous remuneration package includes:

- £28,000 - £33,000 per annum
