ADAS is seeking a** Senior / Principal Planning Consultant** (Planner) to join our Planning team on a **full time, permanent** basis to be based either in **Leeds or Manchester**. You will be a highly motivated and preferably, **chartered** **(RTPI) **Senior or Principal Planner with demonstrable **post qualification experience**.

As the successful Planning Consultant, you will join the team of Planning and Landscape Consultants in the ongoing delivery of client projects in a fast moving, client focussed commerical environment.

We are a recognised and highly respected leader in securing consent for development projects across the board.

Our planning team is well established and has an outstanding track record and reputation for offering quality planning advice to clients and acting on behalf of local authorities. Our planning team is growing in response to workload and new projects from a range of clients across various sectors including residential, renewable energy, infrastructure projects, rural diversification, commercial and leisure.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide planning consultancy services to public, private and third-sector clients.
- Review and comment on technical reports
- Public speaking, including at planning committees and public consultation events, where required
- Carry out sales and business development activities including drafting proposals, tenders, meeting potential and existing clients and working on sales initiatives
**Person Specification**
- Full driving licence and ability to work flexibly with regard to the type of work, timing and location
- Formal qualification in Town and Country Planning (Masters / Postgraduate / First Degree
- Full membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute or to be eligible for full Chartered Membership
- Relevant experience preferably within the private sector
- Excellent knowledge and experience of Town & Country Planning regulations and process in both planning policy and development management skills
