**The Opportunity**:

- Leonardo have an exciting opportunity within the Operations function for an experienced Logistics OperativeTraining will be given on the job.- The role of Logistics Operative is fundamental to the smooth operation of the business. The Logistics Operative will handle both critical material and information on a daily basis. They are involved in Goods In, Logistics and Despatch ensuring that material transitions onto the shop floor and finished goods are packed and shipped.- Leonardo are an international leader in electronic and information technologies for defense systems, aerospace, data, infrastructures, land security and protection and sustainable 'smart' solutions. We employ 7,000 people across the UK with 1,900 based at the Edinburgh site.**What you will do**:

- Logistics operatives will be required to undertake a range of material handling activities and/or processes.
- Goods receipt, Material Put away, Pick, Pack, Ship P.I Cycle Count
- Demonstrate a contribution to continuous improvement activity within Logistics or M&SC.
- Communicate with colleagues outside of own team in order to gain clarification and/or guidance for completion of defined task
- Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members and/or apprentices
- Organise own workload to ensure time is utilised effectively.

**What we are looking for**:

- Understanding of impact of own work on Logistics KPI's Knowledge of relevant standard logistics procedures (what) and practices (how) necessary to process material efficiently (quickly) and effectively (accurately)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisational skills, demonstrated through ability to plan and prioritise
- PC use and Experience with SAP process
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must be able to attain security clearance, this will also include additional local security checks and procedural reviews
