We are looking to expand our team of part time child contact supervisors/family support workers. Child contact provide families with the opportunity to spend quality time with children who do not currently live with them.

The children we work with may be living with a parent(s), an extended family member or foster carers. All our Contact Supervisors are also trained in Family Support Work, which provides them with ample opportunities to work across both roles, whenever so needed. Employees receive in-house induction training before commencing employment.

AG Family Support Ltd. (AGFS) is a leading provider of family support work services across England and Wales. **Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate previous experience/appropriate qualifications in child and family work and be a car owner as this role will include community-based contact sessions across the county.** Travel time and mileage are paid.

Due to the demand-driven nature of our work, all positions are zero-hour bank roles, with no minimum hours guaranteed. However, contact supervisors can choose which assignments they might wish to accept, hence this a very flexible role to fit around other part time work, family life, early retirement, or studies.

There is also the opportunity for those seeking more hours and willing to stay away in Norfolk periodically, to undertake 12 hr family support Work in East Anglia. This is purely optional.

**Summary of the role**:

- Helping facilitate Child Contact Supervision and potentially Family Support / Outreach within Public and Private Law arenas. Robust induction training is provided.
- Regular liaison with families, childcare and legal professionals.
- Writing good quality progress and summary case reports.
- Working closely with line managers and AGFS management team.
- Supporting social workers with their family assessment processes.
- Attending relevant post
- induction training on safeguarding and any other topical issues.
- Engaging in regular formal and informal supervision.
- Producing good quality, fit for purpose work invoices.
- Working in line with AGFS policies and procedures.
- Potentially transporting children, where so required.

**Essential Skills**

1. Background in child and family work

2. Ideally, professional qualifications within the childcare field or are studying for it.

3. Passion for helping families improve their life chances, keeping children safe and supporting changes which can result in best possible outcomes.

4. A reasonable amount of flexibility with days and hours you can work

5. Ability to work well as part of a team and autonomously. This role involves mainly Lone Working.

6. Excellent interpersonal, communication and report writing skills.

**You will need an Enhanced Child and Adult Workforce DBS dated within the last 3 years (or be willing to get one and pay for one if successful). You must be a car owner. **This is an employed position. Salary is £10-£13 per hr depending on day of week worked**
