Continuous Improvement Lead

**About the Role**
This is a great opportunity to join the Mold site at the initial phases of our Continuous Improvement / Lean Journey. As a pivotal part in driving improvement in our processes and practices, this role will ensure the philosophy of lean is part of the culture as well as providing more effective ways of working and improvement in overall performance.
As the single point of contact, this strategic role will connect with all parts of the site and external ensuring that the Mold CI journey is aligned to the overall Tate & Lyle improvement activities.
**Key Responsibilities**
This is a great opportunity to take a significant leadership role within the site - and drive improvement to ways of working, processes, and procedures.
- You will lead continuous improvement activities to achieve high impact on business results
- Lead projects related to process efficiency and resource effectiveness
- Provide updates on progress both internally within Mold and externally within the Tate & Lyle wider business
- Develop and implement new methods, tools, processes, standards, or operational plans that will have an impact on the achievement of functional results
- Identify opportunity to improve processes or minimise waste both within the production processes and functional areas
- Work and collaborate with all functions to identify opportunities for improvement
- Develop a long-term strategic plan for the full implementation of CI / Lean Tools and techniques with a strong connection to culture and people development.
- Manage the full CI training programme for the Mold Site - including alignment to appropriate certification
- Manage all CI event delivery on site and support wider delivery as an when required
**About You**
This would represent an ideal opportunity for those seeking to move into a full CI role, having built up significant experience and knowledge in lean tools and techniques through work experience and academic study.
- You will have the ability to train and coach others in the delivery and improvement - utilising CI tools
- You will be able to lead teams in problem solving activities using structured techniques
- Your ability to motivate and gain commitments from others will be a strength of yours - being able to lead without authority and hold stakeholders at all levels of the organisation accountable
- Your excellent communication skills will be evident through previous experience - and you will be able to create and deliver professional presentations to a variety of audiences.
- You will have strong co-ordination and organisational skills, being able to handle multiple projects at once including large, involved projects to day-to-day improvement activities
- You ideally will be degree qualified - preferably in Lean, Quality or Business
- Having experience of developing and implementing lean will be key - having had experience of continuous improvement and six sigma processes in accordance with Customer Oriented Results and Excellence Criteria.
