Operational Lead for the CYP Eating Disorder Service (within the Buckinghamshire All Age Lifespan Eating Disorders Service)

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust are commissioned to operate an All Age Eating Disorder Lifespan service which consists of a Children and Young People’s (CYP) Eating Disorder service and an Adult Community Eating Disorder Service. These services, under shared service management, offer care and treatment to individuals with eating disorders, and their families, across the lifespan.

We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated clinician to join the Buckinghamshire CYP Eating Disorder service as the team’s Operational Lead (1 FTE).

**The primary functions of this post are**:

- To take overall management responsibility for all aspects of service delivery and operational matters for the CYP Eating Disorders Service, including the FREED (First Episode Rapid Early Intervention for Eating Disorder
- To work closely alongside the Operational Lead for the Buckinghamshire Adult Eating Disorders Service in order to provide an effective all age lifespan eating disorder service for patients, including working closely together on the FREED pathway.
- to work as an integral member of service’s leadership team to deliver a high quality responsive service to meet the needs of children, young people and adults in Buckinghamshire who require a service for an eating disorder.
- Work towards a culture where services are seamlessly integrated.
- Put in place and monitor arrangements for partnership working across the localities
- To assist with the modernisation and redesign of CAMHs services, leading on agreed projects, including New Care Model for ED.
- To develop robust interagency relationships with, Children, Young People and Families services, relevant adult services and other key agencies, supporting the development of integrated care pathways and locality working.
- To ensure all patients and Carers are included in all the work we do and structures are developed to incorporate users at all levels
- To support the Clinical Reference Group with key stakeholders to continue the development of this group and the services.

To succeed in this role you will need to have excellent managerial and leadership skills with a good understanding of the clinical needs of children and young people with eating disorders requiring mental health support. The role has line management responsibility for the CYP eating disorder team (which includes our new FREED First Episode Rapid Early Intervention for Eating Disorders pathway) and the overall operational management to ensure smooth functioning of the service. You will work collaboratively with colleagues in the leadership team, with the Business and Performance Manager and the Service Manager to ensure patient needs are meet. The post holder will manage performance of team members and ensure they are supported to provide expert evidence based clinical care.

The post holder will be required to be proactive in supporting the leadership team influencing service development. They will be required to liaise with wider corporate services and competently in deal with recruitment, HR matters and budget management

A key part of the role in the lifespan service involves having a close working partnership with the operational lead for the Buckinghamshire Adult Eating Disorder Service, as this is especially important for patient care.

At present we are offering a combination of digital appointment and in person service. The postholder will be working in a hybrid way (mixture of home based and office based) and when in the office you will be based in our Aylesbury office.
