**Primary Objective of the role of Bakery Assistant**
The primary objective of the role of the Bakery Assistant is to bake off savories', prepare hot sandwiches and other hot & cold food items to a high standard for the enjoyment of our customers.

**Qualifications**
There are no minimum qualifications to work as a Bakery Assistant as full training will be given, However Previous experience within the Hospitality Trade, Retail Industry or within the Food Industry is preferable but not essential as we will expect you to complete Food Safety training modules.

**The personal skills that are required for the job**:

- Having a friendly and engaging personality.
- Comfortable working with members of the public.
- Should have a confident manner.
- Must be helpful and polite.
- Be able to work as part of a team.
- Should be of a smart appearance, articulate and punctual.

**You will be responsible for**
- Producing and replenishing bakery products and handling them with care to maintain quality and freshness
- Following company policies and adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Championing the reduction of food waste
- Recording food production, sales & waste
- Clean preparation area, equipment, oven and fridge/freezers
- Removal of rubbish to the appropriate storage areas
- Baking Assistants will be on their feet for their shift and may be required to lift large amounts of stock.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.25 per hour
