Kitchen Assistant

**Location**: Owls Play Centre Fairlop Waters Country Park, Forest Rd, Ilford IG6 3HN
Surrounded by the beautiful scenery and open waters of Fairlop Waters, Owls Play Centre is a large indoor play centre jammed pack with fun and adventurous activities for children.
The play centre is going through an exciting period of change and is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to provide healthy and hearty meals to our customers. We are looking for someone who’s committed to maintaining highest standards in the kitchen and during the meal preparation process. You should have a passion for food and hospitality environment. You must be reliable, dedicated and flexible when it comes to working patterns.
Formal qualifications aren’t necessary, although experience gained in similar environment would be beneficial.
Job role:
- Prepare all menu components as requested to the required standards
- Follow cleaning schedule for kitchen and related areas
- Follow HACCAP, COSSH and other H&S regulations as required
- Operate all equipment safely and in line with instruction
- Assist with any other task within scoop of the role as required
Essential requirements:
- Understanding of food preparation and processes
- Ability work as part of the team and on their own initiative
- Ability to follow instruction and execute to the highest standards
- Experience in kitchen environment beneficial
**Job Type**: Zero hours contract
**Salary**: £11.95 per hour
Schedule:
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
