We are a well-established local manufacturer with a passion for our people and the local community, we are now seeking a Transport Administrator to join our growing team

The successful applicant will support transport and production planning by being the main point of contact for our drivers and providing a link to the warehouse teams.

**Key Accountabilities**

1. To ensure all processes and activities are conducted in a safe manor in accordance with the relevant company standards, policies and procedures, including Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Risk Assessment (RA), COSHH assessment and the appropriate 5S’s benchmark standard.

2. Develop a culture of “right first time, every time”. Ensure the standards are met and adhered to by forming a close working relationship within the delivery team

3. Liaise with outside contractors regarding vehicle maintenance and repair to minimise downtime of vehicles and recording details on the company systems.

4. Keep the company’s vehicle audit plan up to date to be in line with the operating licence and maintain records for all vehicles

5. Measure and regulate driving hours, training and safety for all drivers to guarantee all legal requirements are met as a minimum and adhered to, acting on any conditions not met as per company guidelines

6. Keep the company delivery database customer details up to date

7. Act as a point of contact for drivers on a daily basis, resolving issues and providing support with queries, carry out driver one to ones, record infringements and arrange agency driver cover

8. Holiday and sickness cover for transport co-ordinator

9. Promote positive behaviour and lead by example, motivating and inclusion of the driving and loading team whilst discouraging negative behaviour

10. Take ownership and be responsible for the department working with the Transport Manager to ensure the needs of the business and the regulations for transport are met.
