**Job Title**

Retail Assistant - 1 to 3 days per week of Saturday, Sunday and Monday

**Job Summary**

Retail Assistant required for our busy butchery counter and delicatessen with the focus on customer service both face to face and telephone

**Job Type**

Part time permanent role - One, Two or Three days per week - from Saturday, Sunday and Monday - weekend working is a key part of this role - potential for occasional additional days if wanted

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- The Role_
- Delivering an outstanding shopping experience to all customers
- Ensuring the counters and displays are full and attractive at all times
- Making products such as sausages and burgers and curing bacon
- Meat cutting - training provided
- Weighing, slicing, packaging and pricing of products
- Stock rotating and quality controlling products ensuring customers leave with food in perfect condition
- Proactively sharing product information and cooking advice with customers
- Keeping the shop and work areas clean and tidy at all times
- Checking and putting away deliveries
- Preparing online and phone collection orders
- Working in the Farm Shop, Cafe and Growing departments when required
- Excellent customer service and sales skills and a friendly personality
- Passionate about good food
- Enthusiastic and flexible with a can-do attitude
- Able to cope with the physical demands of the role
- Team player with good communication skills at all levels
- Honest, reliable and dedicated

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 28.5 per week

**Salary**: £7.49-£10.42 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Stourport-on-Severn, DY13 9SA: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
