**Responsibilities**
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for various projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Analyse blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labour estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and constraints.
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle, identifying areas for cost control and efficiency improvements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and regulations that may impact project costs.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and clarify specifications.
- Prepare reports summarising estimated costs and present findings to management as required.
**Requirements**:
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in cost control methodologies and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with relevant software tools for estimating and project management is advantageous.
- A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
