Project Manager - remote with very occasional trip to Southampton offices
As a Project Manager you will have:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Project Management role, preferably for a managed service provider
Experience managing projects in a high availability environment, supporting engineering team working on live systems where reliability, uptime and meeting SLA's are crucial
Proven customer-centric IT service Delivery experience
Demonstrable proficient experience working within PRINCE2 project management
procedures
Strong Microsoft Office suite skills
Advanced problem-solving ability and troubleshooting
Excellent organisational skills and time management practices, working well in a team
environment
Excellent customer service skills for both internal and external customers
Grounded IT experience with a general technical understanding within a good breadth
of knowledge
Experience in handling customer complaints
Taking ownership of issues from reporting through to resolution
Proven ability and desire to improve methods of working
Desirable
1. PRINCE2 Practitioner
2. ITIL Foundation certified
3. Leadership skills or experience
4. Axelos Agile or PMP experience
As a key member of the Project Team, you will be providing Project Management for
new and changing services to our clients customers through exceptional communication,
planning, co-ordination, and customer service skills.
You will need to form a good working relationship with the Project Co-Ordinators and
Project Engineers and Consultants, managing tasks and ensuring timely delivery of
services.
You will be responsible for:
Day to day running of the Project Portfolio, including but not limited to;
- Tracking all projects
- Weekly status updates
- Milestone reporting including invoicing
- Providing ad-hoc updates to the Board/Head of Projects as required
- Delivery of projects following the Project Management Operating Procedure
- Creating and maintaining Project Initiation Documents
- Creating and maintaining Project Approach Documents (project control), including
but not limited to;
- Communication Approach
- Risk Management Approach
- Change Management Approach
- Risk Register
- User Acceptance Testing
- Managing compliance requirements, including Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA)
- Leading project Kick Off, Updates and Closure meetings both with internal and
external stakeholders
- Working with the Project Co-ordinators to delegate workload and ensure a consistent
approach on all projects
- Working with New Business, Sales and Pre-Sales, including but not limited to;
- Arranging new quotations or time estimates
- Technical Reviews or Roadmaps
- Confirmation of Scope/SoW
- Estimated resources and project commencement dates (milestones and
histograms)
- Target completion dates for all active projects
- Identifying and planning for projected pipeline resource requirements
- Quoting and Proposals for Out of Scope work and Project Changes
- Project Closure
- Working with the Change Advisory Board and customers to review, control and
mitigate risks associated with change through projects
