**VACANCY: Production Team Leader**

**LOCATION**:Chesterfield, S43**

Bryan Donkin Valves Limited is part of the AVK Group; market leaders in the supply of valves, fittings and flow control equipment to the Water, Waste Water, Oil and Gas industries throughout the world.

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to continue a career with manufacturing production. You will actively lead a small team of Operatives and brief them on the day-to-day responsibilities, ensure processes and procedures are followed and maintain a visible presence on the shop floor.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

- Actively lead a small team of Operatives
- Brief the team of day-to-day targets and responsibilities
- Ensure manufacturing procedures and processes are followed
- Complete accurate hand over notes for shift rotation; status, requirements, issues
- Maintain visible lead for adherence to procedures and instructions
- Responsible for all H&S, First Aid and key holder for the site
- Investigate and report back H&S accidents and near misses
- Deliver Production Plans; Staff deployment, rotation, problem solving and escalation plan
- Ensure data capture is accurate and updated
- Ensure full adherence to 5s practices at all times
- Follow the escalation procedure for quality concerns; Safety, quality (segregation, 3C)
- Ensure that quality standards are met within the production targets
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
- Engage interest and participation of others with a collaborative approach to working

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Experience in leading, motivating and inspiring a team
- Excellent working knowledge of manufacturing / production operational functions and processes
- Actively committed to team development
- Forklift license desired
- Solid understanding of Lean in a Manufacturing environment
- Remain results focused whilst ensuring Quality Standards are maintained

**WORKING HOURS**:

- 37 hours per week
- Monday - Thursday 0730-1600
- Friday 0730-1230
