Flexi-Cover Teaching Assistant - Primary Schools - Caterham

Protocol Education are working with schools throughout Croydon to appoint committed, flexible Teaching Assistants to become a vital part of our support team. This role will suit someone who is looking to gain experience within different education settings and with children of different ages on a schedule that fits around them. You will have your own online diary which you will update so that we can get you work on any days you want it.

The Role;
- As a flexi-cover teaching assistant you will work across schools and year groups as and when needed. Either covering/supporting due to staff absence, extra staff needed or intervention support.
- To support and manage the behaviour of pupils whilst they undertake their work and ensuring a constructive and positive environment is always enforced.
- De-escalating situations within the classroom in the correct way certifying safeguarding procedures are always adhered.
- Working 1:1 as in-class support/working in small groups and 1:1 within SEND children for short periods of time where required
- Reporting any safeguarding concerns using the school’s referral procedures and safeguarding policies.
- Someone who truly cares for the education of children and thrives in an environment working with likeminded individuals.
- Somebody with desire to go the extra mile for their students and truly influence their futures.
- A character who truly makes a difference in the classroom and enjoys working with young people.
- Excellent communication skills; Verbal/written and reading comprehension
- Track record of positively impacting the lives of children or adults, please note - this can be in any field.
- Right to work in the U.K.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
