**Meeting and Events (Bars) Supervisor**
The Bar Supervisor will work alongside the Operations Manager in the day to day running of the Meeting and Events department while taking responsibility for all aspects of wet stock control including stock ordering, weekly internal and monthly external stock takes, stock rotation and line cleaning.
The Bars Supervisor will join a strong and successful Senior team in Duty Management shifts and be part of creating a fantastic experience for all guests using the hotel.
We are looking for someone who has an absolute commitment to provide the highest quality of service to our guests. Be focused, have excellent communication skills and be motivated and professional in both appearance and presentation of their work.
You should have the ability to influence and inspire your team to drive the business forward and support the department Managers in the Hotel Managers absence.
You should have an eye for detail and be able to ensure all bars and cellars are Health and Safety compliant and maintained to the highest standard.

**Responsibilities will include**:
- Support the M&E Operations teams with controlling labour costs and producing staff rotas in a timely manner.
- Ensuring stock control through ordering, stocktaking, line cleaning and wastage control including providing the relevant training to the bar teams to support this.
- Supporting the day to day operations of the department ensuring a hands-on support required for all key meeting, events and conference business.
- Have an understanding of the department staffing structure ensuring appropriate levels are maintained to produce an excellent service.
- Maintaining a positive relationship with all internal teams, ensuring excellent communication to support a smooth operation. Including regular communication with the hotel’s kitchen teams.
- Liaising with and maintaining excellent relationships with hotel clients. Building good rapport to ensure the consistent return of custom.
- Ensuring all front of house areas are compliant and maintained to the highest standard, including staff uniform and brand standard requirements.
- Human Resources responsibilities including interviewing, training and support in employee management.
- Carrying out regular reviews with team members alongside hosting department meetings.
- Attendance at all required hotel meetings and producing required data in a professional manner.
- Ensure company policies and madidates including Food Hygiene, Cash Handling, Health & Safety, Manual Handling etc. are adhered to at all times whilst ensuring the team also comply with such policies.
**In supporting the Operations Manager**:
- The ability to appraise, motivate, support and challenge the team to deliver outstanding performance on a daily basis.
- Reviewing wet revenue figures and presenting weekly reports to the Operations and Hotel Managers.
- Leading day to day operations and be role model the expected behaviours and responding to our guests needs.
- Drive health and safety compliance throughout the hotel.
- Ensure property standards are being maintained by identifying cleanliness and maintenance issues.
- Deputising for the Operations Manager when away from the business.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
