We are looking for someone to deliver clinical leadership needed to embed physical health care within our inpatient wards and work collaboratively to address cross-organizational needs.

We are committed to ensuring the physical health care of our patients is delivered to a high standard. The service wants to further develop its focus on prevention via health promotion and wellbeing to reduce the inequality our patient group faces in relation to their physical health. The role will lead on the strategic development and delivery of health promotion and physical health care within the acute mental health service. Working alongside a range of professionals and providing specialist knowledge and clinical leadership around physical health.

The service is committed to personal and professional development and believe this is essential to achieving high standards of care. There will be opportunities for development through formal education and networking with physical health leads within the Trust.

Establish a uniform approach to physical health monitoring and interventions for the acute inpatient mental Health patients.

Be a point of expert contact for all inpatient wards to enable care planning on physical health care needs.

Provide clear expectations to patients and staff on the wards.

Provide supervision to all physical health staff within the directorate.

Ensuring robust governance for physical health care and support nurses establish physical health clinics within the wards.

Improve clarity and uniformity of Oxford health NHS Foundation Trust ‘s internal pathways for physical health.

Improve Buckinghamshire Directorate data capture and reporting in liaison with other physical health leads within the Trust.

Reporting on improvement actions and results.
