**Group Internal Auditor**

**We have an excellent opportunity for someone with an eye for detail, naturally curious about how things work and a hunger to improve them.**

The Internal Auditor’s role will support a team of the Group Audit Manager and the Group Internal Auditor in the provision of a comprehensive operational audit service to a number of Dawsongroup businesses, ensuring that the systems and procedures in place are adequate and effective for the purposes of recording and reporting transactions, assets and liabilities and safeguarding company assets. The Internal Auditor will therefore be required to work closely with each business and their relevant departments, managing and guiding their development of appropriate, documented risk management systems and procedures.

This will include, but not be limited to:

- Assisting with preparation and delivery of risk based internal audits and other assignments
- Assisting with the development of audit programmes for new areas of audit requirement
- Supporting the maintenance and development of operational policies and procedures
- Checking that procedures are effective and fully implemented
- Managing the production and delivery of business branded stationery and business cards as required, keeping a stock check at all times
- Assisting in monitoring and coordinating the responsibilities as delegated in the group’s health and safety policies

To be successful you:

- Experience in conducting audits
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Will be self-motivated and systematic
- Will have good time management and organisational skills
- Have attention to detail
- Will be willing to travel and stay away at Dawsongroup locations
- Will be a proactive team player with the initiative to investigate any issues or errors and suggest corrective action
- Will be able to work on your own, but also in a team
