Max Energy are a leading provider of Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems to the new build housing sector, our customers range from National to Regional and Local house builders. We can provide a design, supply and install service from our 8 Regional Branches.

Due to the continued growth in the number of house builders requiring Solar PV on their developments we are looking for a Designer to join our team based at our Head Office in Leicester.

As a Solar PV Designer, you will be responsible for the design, layout and sizing of PV Systems for new build housing developments.

**Role**
- Produce detailed technical drawings including PV roof layouts, electrical diagrams and interconnection schematics.
- Review development layouts for suitable Solar PV installations
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, including our Sales and Operations Teams along with Housebuilder Technical and Production Teams
- Be the technical point of contact for key stakeholders within our company and our customers.
- Working with our supply chain to identify parts and components to be used in current and future projects.
- Communicate effectively with our customers (the house builder) to ensure design and system proposals are fully understood.
- Performing computer simulations of Solar PV generation system performance using industry software such as PVSOL
- Ensure Certification compliance with UK regulations such as MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme)
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for Solar PV installations using our in-house costing tool and collaborate with Procurement and Account Management Teams to ensure cost effective solutions.

**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**
- Proficient in relevant design software such as AutoCAD (Essential)
- An understanding of Solar PV Technology, System Components and Design Principles would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with UK Building Codes, Regulations and Local Permitting Processes related to Solar PV Installations, knowledge of sustainable design practices, energy storage systems and grid interconnection.
- A good working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office especially Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
